In 1975 a pit to the east of the tomb of Chin Shih-huang-ti was excavated. Discovered inside were six thousand life-size figures of men and horses, with their chariots, each individually fashioned. The original terra-cotta clay warriors are unprecedented in number and size which makes them one of the most remarkable archaeological discoveries. This Chinese Xian Warriors Chess Set and Board is adapted from the variety of warriors found in this tomb. This museum reproduction statue of hte Chinese Warrior Chin Shih-Huang-Ti measures 8 in. x 1.75 in. x 3" and is made of bonded stone.
