Jack and Jill is a classic nursery rhyme in the English speaking world. While the true origins of the rhyme are unknown, the earliest publication of the lyrics was in the 1760’s, in John Newbery’s Mother Goose’s. Jack and Jill are considered part of the canon of “Mother Goose” characters. The famous lyrics of Jack and Jill was: Jack and Jill went up the hill, to fetch a pail of water.
